A synopsis

Simon Johnson isn’t having a good week. He just lost his job, his career, his girlfriend and his flight back to England.

Life is not good. Now marooned in Milan he discovers an old book, apparently the innocent travel record of a journey undertaken by an unnamed traveller and his companions some five hundred years ago. Lost and at a dead end in his life, he impulsively sets out to follow in the footsteps of the long dead diarist.

But what exactly directly connects the book to a dying old multi millionaire, to the royal courts of 15^th Century Italy, to a mysterious clinic, to a group of deadly assassins and to Simon’s father and new girlfriend? Who exactly is the author of the book and why are the original traveller and his companions on their journey?

Will Simon and his friends discover the identity of the mysterious figures they now find on their trail, and what incredible secret does the book really hold? And why would anybody be prepared to kill for such knowledge? Prepare to be fascinated as we move between countries in both the present day and 15^th century Italy.

Nor does it contain Nazis, The Knights Templar, Cathars or any secret group including Ancient Egyptians or any other lost or secret civilizations, Aliens, Dinosaurs, KGB, FBI, CIA, MI5 - Government conspiracies etc.

All the historical and technical information is meticulously researched and is pedantically correct, including all references to individuals dates, kings, wars, equipment etc. It could even be true. But it isn’t.

It is a thriller that will intrigue you and has more twists than a politician at election time.
