Iqbal Chowdhury

iqbal_chowdhury_biography_pictureIqbal was born in rural Bangladesh. He doesn’t remember much of his childhood, but knows his date of birth is 2 days out, as the registry office would only accept the date on which he was brought to their clinic. It’s worked out well, as now he has an unofficial celebration on the 8th of February, and a proper one on the 10th.

When he was a child, his family moved to North London, where his father began to apply his trade, and Iqbal began to wonder where the sun went.

Some years later he rediscovered the sun during his travels. Their latest meeting was in South America, where they spent several weeks together in the Amazon, basking in each other’s glory.

Despite his brief upbringing in Bangladesh, Iqbal’s stories are inspired by the affinity that he still feels for his birthplace. He is currently working on his first novel, which tackles various social issues that affected him during a recent visit. He also pens the odd poem.

As a student of economics and history, he is fascinated by models, and the multi-faceted factors that shape human behaviour.

Oh, and he is an accountant. And totally proud of this.
